He began doing the bird photography in 2006 in his Taiwan and until now people from all around the world have seen and commented on his photos. These photos look very romantic and colorful and live up to our idealized expectations of the far East and Orient. By making these photos that will suit our taste Soong might have betrayed the true image of Taiwan. He made sure that his images will be well excepted without raising any questions, but the problem seems to be the fact that a true art has to be bold and if needed blunt and it has to raise as many questions as possible. It needs to make us think and ponder and have a critical look at the world. I’m sorry to say that these photos simply don’t have it in them, but nevertheless they are lovely and I would use them as a wallpaper.
