The Christmas is just around the corner and probably most of you have already decorated your Christmas tree. But if there are still some late decorators that were too busy with their work to find spare time for buying tree and decorating it, or they simply were out of creative ideas, maybe this article will help them to come up with something really unique and original. Van Gogh Paintings Recreated with Spices

Young photographer and artist, Kelly A. McCollam, came up with a really creative and original method for recreating famous and world-known paintings of Van Gogh. She uses common kitchen ingredients, spices and food color to make these amazing and colorful reproductions. Salt cellar is apparently a thing of past. Now, when you host a fancy diner party, you can just put one of Kelly’s pieces on the table. That way you’ll get both spices and table decoration covered.

Here are some really cool and weird houses. Some are probably photoshopped, but some look real and I would even enjoy spending a day or two in a house like the one with the piano for example.

This looks pretty impressive. I wonder if it’s for real. It would be great if someone could build a house like this. But I imagine it is awfully difficult to hollow out a rock.

Creative Plant Pots

A group of very creative and talented designers from Kazakhstan designed these amazing and adorable little plant pots with human faces. The original idea was to put the face of the gardener on the pot, but then they decided to add faces of gardener’s family. It looks really crazy and cute. I know if I ever decide to take up gardening, I would like to have these funny pots.

Fairy tale houses

Wow! These houses are amazing! I would be lying if I said that as a child I dreamed of living in a house from a fairy tale, the truth is I still dream of having a home that looks like these in the images below. it might seem a bit silly to someone living in a cupcake house, or having a home that resembles Hobbit’s house in the Middle Earth, but I could really live in such a house. It would be great, and on top of that these houses seem really functional.

Shaggy Cars

Now this is really original idea! I’m not sure why would anyone do this to his vehicle, but it looks incredibly cute and adorable. I wonder if they can ride it when it rains. Probably not, unless they have a huge hair dryer in their garage. Also I wonder what happens with the motor. Does it overheat? The history of Japanese concept cars

A concept vehicle or show vehicle is a car prototype made to showcase a concept, new styling and new technology. They are often shown at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not have a chance of being produced. Concept cars never go into production directly; in modern times all would have to undergo many changes before the design is finalized for the sake of practicality, safety and cost. A “production-intent” vehicle, as opposed to a concept vehicle, serves this purpose. Here are sixty six models of Japanese concept cars through the last fifty years since 1957 till 2009. Shocking Ice Cream Commercial

You have an opportunity to see these shocking advertises for Antonio Federici ice cream before they get banned in England because of they hurt the religious feelings of believers. The most controversies rose the photo with a pregnant nun and the one that shows two priests that are about to kiss. In my opinion these are great and hilarious commercials, but we need to respect other people’s feelings. Can you come up with a more elegant solution that wouldn’t include banning of the commercial?

Wow! Have a look at these creatively designed pieces of lingerie. This is definitely something completely different from what we are used to see and what is Victoria’s Secret offering. The designer of these most unusual underclothes is Laura and she is from San Francisco. You can enjoy looking at this great collection and maybe get some ideas for your own original lingerie, but you might wanna go easy with deer antlers, shells and ammunition. The point of this “horny” underwear is making fun of women and all the trouble they go through to attract men.

Son let’s build a car

Nothing is more precious then spending quality time with your son. Here’s how one guy decided to make this quality time even better. He took three different car models and combined them all into one car for him and his son to ride. The boy although still at a very young age helped his father in this project. The result seems amazing and it looks like they had a pretty good time.

Dark and twisted art of Michel Valentino

German photographer Michel Valentino is presenting us this excellent collection of a bit dark and twisted, but still very moving and expressive photos. The most important thing at this work is creativity and here’s what he himself says about it:

“Creativity is the basis of self-expression. Why are some people supposedly more creative than others, and why can’t others open themselves up enough to be able to express who they are?

Creation is the birth of something, and something cannot come from nothing. When someone creates something: a painting, a poem, a photograph, the creativity comes from an idea, from a feeling, from emotion, or from a combination of ideas, feelings and emotions that are somehow ‘reborn’ from all our experiences and perspectives.

Creativity is the desire to express ourselves. To formulate these expressions, we have to draw from our reservoir of experience, dreams, desires and experimentation and mix together what was, what is, and what could be… I don’t think you can learn it, it is rather something that evolves. Your perception of everything in your life fills up this reservoir.

Some people are drawn to create and express themselves, others are drawn to reflect, to analyze. But in the end, they all could be creative if they had the desire to explore the way in which they are integrated in the world of their experiences. Because creativity is really a rebirth, a true tone we feel for ourselves and for our world. Then our work becomes a real part of who we are. Maybe all this is a question of how deep we are willing to go…”

Very creative banknote pictures

I know art is an expensive thing, but this is really too much. I’ve never seen art like this and a usage of banknotes like this. It reminds me of mosaics but instead of little colored pieces of rocks the artist here is cutting banknotes into small pieces and gluing them together to form a new and creative picture. It seems really colorful and lively, but I don’t thing I would use my money in this way.

Unfortunately I didn’t manage to find any information neither about the author nor about this work of his. Therefor I can only guess which purpose was this made for. At first I thought it was some sort of commercial or a creative ad for new zoo that was opened, but there was no such information in the pictures. Then I thought it is some sort of artistic performance, but I don’t see anything artistic about this. So finally I decided that these photos are the outcome of some boring afternoon, when the photographer and his mate didn’t have anything better to do so they played Halloween all day long dressing up as animals.

Capturing movement in images is something that many photographers only think to do when they are photographing sports or other fast moving subjects. While there is an obvious opportunity in sports photography to emphasize the movement of participants – almost every type of photography can benefit from the emphasis of movement in a shot – even when the movement is very small, slow and/or subtle. Here are some examples of how it looks like when a motion is emphasized in non-sport related photos. It looks really amazing. Steampunk Computers – Between Vintage and Modern

Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction and speculative fiction, frequently featuring elements of fantasy, that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used — usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England — but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date. Other examples of steampunk contain alternate history-style presentations of “the path not taken” of such technology as dirigibles, analog computers, or digital mechanical computers (such as Charles Babbage’s Analytical engine); these frequently are presented in an idealized light, or with a presumption of functionality.

Creative breakfast

This looks amazing and so stupid at the same time! I need to ask the person who made this creative food sculptures “Haven’t your mama taught you not to play with your food?” I’m not going to hit the old story about how many children are dieing of starvation in the world, but this simply makes no sense. However, it seems like a good idea in case the creator of these food toys has a kid who refuses to eat his breakfast. In that case it might be a good motivational act.

Wolfgang Keyboard Bench

Wolfgang Keyboard Bench by designer Herbuta Nolan (Nolan Herbut), which has already experimenting with a floor lamp made from those same elements, collected from several key keyboards.

Home made loony art

This reminds me of the movie “Space Jam” when cartoon characters say: “We’re not loony enough?” and then start pooling out all sorts of crazy stuff and cool jokes just to show how insane they are. Well, this artwork is sort of like that. It seems to me like someone has gone a bit mad about something in his own home and decided to turn his craziness into art, because we all know how mental artists are. And you know what? It looks like a great fun. I might try this out!

Unusually shaped aqauriums

An aquarium (plural aquariums or aquaria) is a vivarium consisting of at least one transparent side in which water-dwelling plants or animals are kept. Fishkeepers use aquaria to keep fish, invertebrates, amphibians, marine mammals, turtles, and aquatic plants. The term combines the Latin root aqua, meaning water, with the suffix -arium, meaning “a place for relating to”.

Here you can have a look at some of the most creative and unusually shaped and placed aquariums from all over the world. It’s always nice to be in contact with nature, and this inventive designers managed to place fish tanks and aquariums in places you can’t even imagine. Just scroll down and you’ll see what I’m talking about. I especially liked the bathroom sink aquarium, it looks really interesting.

Weapon art

Have a look at these interesting and original art works that are made not by a paint brush, or a pencil, but by weapons. It’s nice to see that not all weapons are used to kill people, but some of them are used to create art. It’s a pretty neat idea, and it sends a beautiful massage. It would be great if all guns could be used only this way and in this purpose.

Amazing sculptures made out of car parts

Those sculptures are made by Austrian Artist James Corbett, he creates them by using old car parts taken from scrap yards. Then he sells his creations for thousands of pounds! If that isn’t art I don’t know what is… It’s a nice a supple way of reminding people to recycle and take care of their waste. With all companies going green almost everything is in some part made out of garbage. So, why should modern art be any different?
