We’ve entered the last month of this year, and it is time to set down our scores and make a quick look back over the last 365 days. Who were the most popular people in this year? And who the most influential? Who became a household name around the world? We have to admit, this was a really tough tear, we lost some really great people and the death of some dictators shock the public on two occasions. Also, we had few scandals, when some private footage leaked in public and an inevitable celebrity divorces which raised all sorts of speculations. The overall and general impression, at least according to this list, is that the year of 2011 was the year of women, because only three, oh… I’ve forgotten Bieber, – four men who managed to get on this list! Leslie Nielson’s best moments

Yesterday, the master of nonsense, Leslie Nielsen, passed away from complications from pneumonia brought on while battling a staph infection. He was 84. What you might not have known is that this comedic icon began his career as a young, serious actor. It was only after such huge hits like Airplane! and The Naked Gun that Nielsen became the bumbling older gentleman that we all remember him as. Monkey business

Have you heard that in South Africa the famous chimp Charlie has died? It would be more accurate is I wrote notorious chimp Charlie, because the thing that made him popular is his smoking. He even stared in many movies and was a photo model! And what’s even more amazing is the fact that he died at the age of 52 years, which is 10 years longer than the average age chimps live. Here are some photos of different monkeys smoking, because as they say “monkey does what monkey sees”. Probably Charlie’s friends saw how famous their friend became because of this bad habit and decided to try doing the same.
