The Ice Cream Shoes – Can It Get Any Sweeter?
Posted in Arts by sanela | Tags: ice cream, ice-cream shoes, ladies, resolutions, Rhonda Voo, shoes, sweet, treatLadies, I think I speak for all of us when I say that these shoes are simply too tempting. Like shoes weren’t sweet enough they had to add a scoop of ice-cream with the most delicious topping on it. I don’t know what I want to do first – go shoe shopping or eat an ice-cream. There goes my diet and as well my saving resolution, thanks a lot Rhonda Voo. I’ll start the New Year with all those big decisions, that is if I manage to find some crumbs of determination in myself. In the meantime, I can enjoy and treat myself with both shopping and eating ice-cream.
New and Even Weirder Kobi Levi’s Shoes
Posted in Weird by sanela | Tags: crazy, design, funny, Kobi Levi, shoes, style, ugly, WeirdKobi Levi has built reputation of a quite eccentric shoe designer. For some reason he thinks of a classic shoes as dull and unaesthetic and he tries to create a new modern shoe that will have a completely different form and shape. He went so far in changing the shape of a shoe that it became unwearable. He combined the elements of nature like flowers, birds and animals, but also some from the urban life – like a gum stuck on the shoe that turned into a heel. His shoes are definitely something different, new and interesting, but I have to admit I would never wear anything like this in public. What do you think?

The Surreal World of Irish Dancing
Posted in Life by sanela | Tags: carrier, dancing, dress, expensive, fame, financial, hobby, Irish dance, lashing, music, shoes, step, traveling, worldJiggery-pokery! £2,000 dresses, lashings of fake tan, parents who sacrifice everything for fame-hungry children… Enter the surreal world of Irish dancing. Loretta Mauriello paid £1 for the first Irish dance class her daughter attended. The modest price, she explains, was part of the attraction. She was working as a market trader and couldn’t afford much more. The irony isn’t lost on her. Fast forward 15 years and she practically puts her fingers in her ears when you ask her to quantify what she has spent on her only child’s ‘hobby’, now that her daughter Simona is 21, and still dancing. ‘Oh, don’t go there,’ she shrieks. ‘I’ve never worked it all out. I’m afraid to. But yes, we’re talking thousands and thousands. She first traveled to America for a competition when she was seven, and we’ve been all over the world. Every penny – flights, hotels – has been paid for by me.
Punk’s not Dead
Posted in Weird by sanela | Tags: design, new wave, punk, shoes, style, Vivienne WestwoodVivienne Westwood, British fashion designer and businesswoman, is largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave into fashion mainstream. Some say it lost its point by becoming mainstream and that it is now only a bunch of safety pins, razor blades, bicycle or lavatory chains on clothing and spiked dog collars for jewelery. Here are some of her shoes notorious for making people fall while wearing them. (We all remember supermodel Naomi Campbell falling down during a Westwood fashion show in Paris in 1994). In my opinion, these shoes are extremely ugly, uncomfortable and they make people fall down! The question is why do people still buy these extremely expensive shoes.
Shoes going green
Posted in Fun by sanela | Tags: cactus, Creative, high heels, plants, shoesGoing green is these days the buzz word and the most stylish thing you can do the update your look. I’m not saying this is bad, any sort of popularity is welcomed and considered useful. Here you can see some really stylish women shoes being used for planting flowers in them. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to find out who is the author of this artistic exhibit, but anyhow, it is really interesting.
Paper sneakers
Posted in Fun by sanela | Tags: funny, paper, photos, shoes, sneakersSilly collection of crazy and adorable, but not so very practical sneakers if the weather is rainy and wet. I’m afraid that it would melt down on my feet and that I would remain bare feet somewhere during the walk. You probably haven’t seen anything like this before. I’m not sure what is the effect that the creator of these shoes was going for, but it couldn’t possibly be functionality.
