The Cossacks ride again

Every year, for the last five years, each first Sunday in August a festival takes place in the castle of Azov that is located in the south of Russia on the river Don. Here in year of 1641 Cossacks managed to outstay Turkish siege and as a celebration of that glorious moment in history, every fist Sunday in August people dress up like it’s 1641 again. Have a look at these great photos and you’ll see that they really took care of the least detail to look as it looked 369 years ago, except for a tractor or a camera that appears here and there everything is well done.
